Topic
Love and death. Erna von Gaderthurn, a poor noblewoman, finds the love of her life in her fellow teacher Eugenio Casagrande, which brings her into the town conflict revolving around the avalanche barriers on the slopes of the Mont Calv. The story is based on the worst avalanche catastrophe that ever took place in the Alps.
Society
A collision of two worlds. The sophisticated cultivation of a poor noblewoman comes up against the taciturn pride of the Alpine people.
Nature
Rugged, frighteningly beautiful Alpine setting, which also seems threatening to the unpredictable, dark side of our imagination.
Lonely Characters
The solitude of the Alpine valley can dry out the soul. A radio is the only window to the rest of the world. Truth lies in that which remains unsaid, between the lines, hidden beneath the spoken word. Flight can only lead inwards, yet the Alps remain eternally silent.
Death
They'd prefer to turn their backs to death, and in winter they pray for their lives. Yet death comes disguised in a white cloak.
On Location with the Crew
An expedition with a professional film crew, an adventure with 50 enthusiastic people, who gave their very best. They all kept their sights on the vision and believed in it.
Shooting with the Cast
The basis of a fantastic story. They invested their souls in their film roles. All of the actors put their full range of talent to the test and brought the characters in the novel to life.
Movie PR and Marketing
In addition to advertising in movie theaters, TV, Internet and the print media, marketing and PR can also use less common channels, such as schools, tours of shooting locations, church services and events concerning avalanche prevention.
Does the movie have a happy end?
Yes and no, just like real life. In the end, we'll all have laughed and cried.
